Simon arrived on Sunday just as he said he would and was able to park at the top of our little road without too much hassle. I recruited my friends Yvonne and Cormac to help with the organising and heavy lifting (respectively :-)
You can see our luxurious (!) Ikea furniture piled up nicely on the lift making it's way to the top deck for Simon and Cormac to arrange. We lucked out with great weather (especially for this time of year) and were able to shuttle our stuff from the house to the back of the lorry with the assistance of our handy hatchback cars.
Here's Simon taking a well-deserved rest from putting our boxes together like a big Tetris game (I stayed down below to make sure there was an appreciative audience to applaud when it was all done).
And finally... Simon and Cormac coming down from the top deck thinking about how good a beer/cup of tea would be right about now... (with a midnight ferry to catch Simon opted for the tea, Cormac raced home to avoid getting stuck with any more 'friend' moving duty - he's definitely earned a holiday chez nous in France!)
Now it's over to Gilles to see how this gets into storage in Toulouse... with Simon's help I'm sure it'll be a breeze...
